As elders' we need wisdom that is from above, to help us thru our day to day struggles... and this is the book for it! This book is built on Scripture and as men of God, that is just what we need. I have taken elders' in training at our church thru some of the chapters and they have all told me afterward how much they have enjoyed it! I cannot recommend this book enough, personally; I have made it a habit to read a chapter each day.
Great Book for ALL Clergy. It lays out Biblical principles in a clear design that is not above the lay minister nor beneath the seasoned pastor. Anyone desiring to enter into the ministry of Elder, Pastor or any preaching, teaching, or congregational leadership should read this BEFORE being liscensed, ordained or commencing their work for God. Some may find after reading this volume that the office of minister may be more than they are willing to enter. It WILL challenge the reader to aspire to be what the Bible says a minister should be rather than what people what or think a minister should be. A great read!
I don't like paying new book prices for old or used books. I gave this book a five star rating because of its excellent content. When I received the copythat I ordered, the presentation page was already filled in with someone's name I did not know and dated 2011. I ordered this book because I wanted to present it to a fellow minister friend of mine. Please notify me before you change my order from new to used items without adjusting the price. If I am charged for a new book that is what I expect to receive.
This is definitely the most encouraging, inspiring book that any leader or minister of the gospel should have in their library! I am enjoying every page. Its so good, I am still reading it slowly months after receiving it.
