I am a medical assistant student and this has been very beneficial! I wish I would have purchased this much sooner. It has everything you need to know to complete competencies in one little book. It has a lot of information, pretty much everything I need to know. I won't be going to class without this pocket guide!I have uploaded some pictures with my review. I have been hesitant to purchase this because there isn't much of a preview of what's inside.

I had got the old version 2016-17FOR way cheaper and its almost identical the new one does go into the Surgical tools a little more than this version with the pictures and things but still really close to the newer version (2017-2018)
I'm almost finished with my M.A clinicals and this has been sooooooooo helpful.I carry this in my scrub pocket everyday to my externship. This has come to my rescue numerous times when I have forgotten lab values and even medical terminology while I'm charting. It even has a notes section which is erasable that I sometimes use to take quick important notes. This was worth every penny.

It's great it as a lot of information a little to much feels like it's more to study for the CMA. I wanted something that would tell me what tube to use for each test but it doesn't. Tells me what's added in each tube I don't need to know that the tube part is useless in my opinion unless your studying for the CMA. doesn't even tell the draw of blood. Doesn't tell you what tube to use for which test. I felt this pocket guide is best if you work at the front desk. I give it three stars bc if your working at the front desk you'll get a lot of use out of it. And if you want to study from it.

I can't believe how much information is packed in this little volume that fits in a scrub pocket!This is like having the best parts of the 20 pound Delmar text right at your fingertips in a clinical setting! I particularly love the fact that it can be written on and erased! This comes in handy for making notes specific to how my sit does something!I highly recommend any new (and even experienced) MA pick up this book.
