No illustrations at all. The book is basically a sales pitch for a web site and a dojo. Very disappointed. There are some interesting things in the body of the text but beyond that I can not recommend the book. You would be better off with other Stunt Light Saber books or even books on Kendo or Iaido.
It’s a great book, and I don’t regret purchasing it, but there aren’t any pictures showing demonstrations, however the contents are helpful. I use the book as a support tool as I train via the videos.

It's a good read. Interesting tie in to historical events to philosophical concepts.
Whether you're a beginner or a combat lightsaber pro, this book is filled with technique and instruction for you. N R Burk recounts tales of Japanese history and legend, and ties each to valuable lessons for the martial arts student. The book also includes instructional sections on meditation and how to start your own community group. I don't think there's another manual out there that covers so much! N R Burk really knows his stuff, and his enthusiasm is infectious.
Incredibly well thought out book with a simple, direct, and intelligent voice. The lack of imagery and drawings in the book is a dramatically large miss. With 30-50 pages of images added it would be THE best source of sabering that I have seen.
