I HIGHLY recommend Crunchtime to anyone and everyone in law school. I would not have passed some of my classes without it.The Property crunchtime geared toward common law classes. I was in school in Louisiana and my course was based on Louisiana law so it was not as helpful as some of the other crunchtimes for me. I did however use this book to help me understand some of the more universal topics. It is an excellent resource for common law jurisdictions. However, if you're in La I'd skip this one. Good Luck!
It seemed everyone struggled with Property during my 1L year. I had used CrunchTime Contracts with great success, and I had high hopes for CrunchTime Property. I wasn't let down! All my CrunchTime books have six sections: Flow Charts, Capsule Summary, Exam Tips, Short Answer Questions, Multiple Choice Questions, and Essay Questions. The Capsule Summary and Exam Tips each have a Table of Contents so you can quickly flip to the section you need. All questions have explanations to the answers, including details about why other common answers (or, for multiple choice, available choices) are incorrect.If you're cramming at the last minute, you'll want to focus on the Exam Tips first, and follow up with the question types that will be on your exam. If you have time to read the entire book, I suggest you glance at the Flow Charts prior to reading the Capsule Summary ad Exam Tips. Before doing the exam questions, you should then go back and really study the flow charts. They are complex, but Property is a complex subject and simplified flow charts would be of no use to you.

my property final is tonight and i don't think i'd be as prepared were it not for this book.
I'm so glad I discovered these my first year of law school. They are very thorough and clear, yet not too long. Some of them contain nifty flow charts to help you attack questions; these were great for me because I learn visually. I did not use the included electronic feature, but I think it could be good for using Ctrl+f to find the topic you're looking for.
Very jarbled outline. I didn't use it but it may be helpful if you don't have any commercial outline.
Highly recommended for 1L's! It's the perfect crash course. You could almost, literally, miss class for the entire semester and study this book two weeks before the exam and do well! Outlines and Flowcharts are a PLUS!!!
I honestly have no idea how I would have made it through Property without this text. I enjoy Crunchtime in preparation for final exams in comparison to the Emanuel because this is essentially the black letter law without a lot of fluff and examples. I found this particularly helpful in trying to add to my outline for the class, especially since it was concise and to the point. It was also a lot less overwhelming because each page didn't have line after line of just information after information. The spacing was perfect, the concepts were easily simplified, the examples were relevant, and it was helpful enough for me to get a much better grade than I would have received based off my professor's lecture alone. Using this book has encouraged me to look to other Crunchtimes in preparation for final exams to get all the basic concepts down in one sit down review. I find this comparable and better than the Nutshell series by West and easier and more concise than Emanuel.
